Biography
Dr. Pu is a board-certified interventional cardiologist renowned for his expertise in treating complex coronary artery and structural heart disease. Hailing from North Carolina, he commenced his academic journey at Duke University, where he graduated with high distinction. Continuing his pursuit of excellence, he obtained his Medical Doctor (MD) degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine.
Dr. Pu's commitment to excellence led him to pursue Internal Medicine Residency at the esteemed NY Presbyterian Weill Cornell University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell. Subsequently, he completed his Cardiology Fellowship at Albert Einstein/Montefiore Medical Center in New York, where he earned the prestigious position of Chief Fellow. His passion for advancing his skills led him to undertake a two-year advanced fellowship in Interventional and Structural cardiology under the mentorship of world-renowned Master Clinical Operator, Dr. Paul Teirstein, at Scripps Medical Center in San Diego.
Practicing the full scope of interventional and structural cardiology, Dr. Pu specializes in minimally invasive catheter-based therapies. His expertise encompasses a wide array of procedures, including left/right heart catheterizations, complex percutaneous coronary artery interventions, trans-catheter aortic valve replacement, and trans-catheter mitral valve repair or replacement, left atrial appendage closure, patent foramen ovale closure, atrial septal defect closure, and cardio-pulmonary support for heart failure.
